Job description

Construction Manager - CSA (Civil, Structural & Architectural)
About This Opportunity

We are building the leadership team for a large-scale semiconductor FAB campus project in West Lafayette, Indiana, supported by the U.S. CHIPS and Science Act.

The Construction Manager will take direct ownership of all civil, structural, and architectural construction activities, managing site superintendents and subcontractor teams to ensure safe, on-schedule, and on-budget field execution.

This is a senior field leadership role. You will plan and supervise CSA work fronts, coordinate multi-trade subcontractors, and maintain accountability for quality, safety, and schedule performance across all assigned scopes.

This role reports directly to the Site Manager and the SKEP management team.

What You’ll Do
  • Plan, direct, and manage all CSA (civil, structural, and architectural) construction activities across assigned work fronts, ensuring safe and efficient field execution at all times
  • Directly supervise site superintendents and subcontractor field teams; establish clear performance expectations and maintain accountability for daily progress
  • Coordinate multi-discipline work sequencing across civil, structural steel, concrete, and architectural scopes running concurrently; resolve trade conflicts before they impact schedule
  • Monitor field progress against baseline schedule and budget; identify variances early and develop corrective action plans in coordination with the Site Manager
  • Ensure compliance with project-specific construction standards and applicable codes including IBC, AISC, ACI, NFPA, and OSHA requirements
  • Enforce site HSE policies and zero-accident culture across all CSA contractors and trade partners on site
  • Manage subcontract field administration including change orders, technical queries, and claims documentation
  • Prepare and deliver regular field progress, cost, and risk reports to the Site Manager and project leadership
  • Coordinate with MEP and other discipline managers to resolve interface issues and maintain integrated schedule performance
  • Support commissioning and system turnover activities for CSA-related scopes
Qualifications
Education

Requires a bachelor's or master's degree (or international equivalent) in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Structural Engineering, Architecture, or a related field. Equivalent work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.

Experience

Requires 15+ years of experience in large‑scale industrial or complex construction projects, including 5+ years in direct field supervisory or management roles.

  • Proven field management experience in at least two of the following CSA disciplines: earthwork and foundations, underground structures, structural steel erection, precast or cast‑in‑place concrete, or architectural finishes within an industrial or infrastructure project
  • Demonstrated experience directly managing site superintendents and multi‑trade subcontractor teams across concurrent CSA work fronts
  • Hands‑on experience managing subcontract field administration including change orders, RFIs, and claims documentation
  • Experience managing union craft workers under Building Trades Agreements; working knowledge of CBA provisions
  • Proficiency in Primavera P6 or equivalent scheduling tool; experience with BIM or project management platforms
  • OSHA 30‑Hour Construction certification (required at time of offer)
  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills for field reporting and cross‑functional coordination
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior experience on a semiconductor FAB, advanced manufacturing facility (battery, pharmaceutical, display), or large‑scale infrastructure megaproject ($500M or above)
  • Experience in an Owner, CM, or PMC capacity on a major capital project
  • Familiarity with semiconductor or high‑tech facility construction requirements such as cleanroom structure, vibration‑controlled slabs, or specialty foundations
  • Advanced Work Packaging (AWP) field implementation experience
  • Professional certifications (PMP, PE, CCM, or equivalent)
  • Experience working with a Korean owner or client organization; Korean language ability is a plus
  • Proven ability to work effectively in multicultural and multinational project environments
Core Competencies
  • Strong problem‑solving and decision‑making skills across complex multi‑trade field environments
  • Field‑oriented leadership with the ability to direct and motivate large subcontractor workforces
  • Commitment to safety and quality under aggressive construction schedules
  • High level of ownership, resilience, and accountability throughout long‑duration projects
