Job summary

Microsoft is seeking a Construction Manager (Contract) to support a large-scale datacenter construction and operations program through Allegis Global Solutions. You will coordinate field operations, project administration, and site activities while ensuring safety, quality, schedule, and cost alignment.

The role requires collaboration with contractors, internal stakeholders, and senior leadership. Onsite duties in Dallas, TX, are expected for a ~7 month assignment, with a pay range of

Qualifications

  • 2–5 years of experience in construction coordination, project administration, or field engineering.
  • Experience supporting construction projects in datacenter, industrial, or mission-critical environments preferred.
  • Background in logistics planning, vendor coordination, and procurement support within a construction context.
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field preferred.
  • Foundational knowledge in construction processes, scheduling, cost management, and quality control (3+ years).
  • Proficiency with Microsoft tools including Word, PowerPoint, Project, Outlook, Teams, and OneNote (3+ years).
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate across diverse internal and external stakeholders (3+ years).
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for leadership-facing updates.
  • Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and meet deadlines with high-quality output.
  • Experience with PMIS platforms such as Procore.

Responsibilities

  • Manage project documentation including closeout, compliance, and reporting to ensure consistency and fluidity through process flow.
  • Support MSOW submissions, escort scheduling, DCAT, and stop-work tracking.
  • Assist with procurement tasks including scope development, bid coordination, and vendor reviews.
  • Coordinate internal meetings to facilitate ADO updates on schedules and documentation gathering.
  • Attend Local Operations Metro Meetings and facilitate project updates.
  • Support new hire onboarding including SharePoint resources and stakeholder contacts.
  • Attend site walks for progress verification, quality observations, OFCI equipment submittal, and ROJ tracking.
  • Support onsite construction management with logistics plan reviews, safety coordination, meeting scheduling, material tracking, and field monitoring.
  • Participate in strategic coordination and planning meetings for project development.
  • Prepare project health reports, status updates, and leadership communications.
  • Assist in OAC meeting preparation, notetaking, and action item tracking.
  • Maintain relationships with design teams, consultants, contractors, and DCOC leadership.
  • Document lessons learned to drive consistency across teams.

Construction Manager (Contract)

Please note that this is a contract role providing services to Microsoft through external staffing partners of Allegis Global Solutions. If you are selected for this role, you will be employed by AGS and will not be an employee of Microsoft.

Summary

This role supports a large-scale datacenter construction and operations organization in planning, coordinating, and tracking the execution of complex construction projects. Operating at the intersection of field operations and project administration, the position ensures that all project activities align with rigorous standards for safety, quality, schedule, and cost. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, mission-critical environment, brings strong organizational instincts, and is comfortable engaging with contractors, internal stakeholders, and senior leadership alike. A typical day may include attending contractor and stakeholder project meetings, preparing detailed project health reports, and supporting logistics for both active and developing construction efforts within live datacenter environments.

Job Responsibilities
  • Manage project documentation including closeout documentation, compliance records, and reporting to ensure consistency and fluidity through process flow
  • Support MSOW submissions, escort scheduling, Datacenter Access Control (DCAT), and blackout and stop-work tracking
  • Assist with procurement tasks including scope development, bid coordination, and vendor reviews
  • Coordinate internal meetings to facilitate ADO updates surrounding critical project controls such as schedules, status updates, and documentation gathering
  • Attend Local Operations Metro Meetings and facilitate project and program updates
  • Support new hire onboarding including DCOC SharePoint resources, documentation processes, key stakeholder contacts, and required meeting invites
  • Attend site walks for progress verification, quality observations, OFCI equipment submittal and ROJ tracking, and invoice review support
  • Support onsite construction management with logistics plan reviews, safety plan coordination, project meeting scheduling, material tracking, and field monitoring
  • Participate in strategic coordination and planning meetings for project development
  • Prepare project health reports, status updates, and leadership communications
  • Assist in OAC meeting preparation, notetaking, and action item tracking
  • Maintain strong working relationships with design teams, consultants, contractors, and DCOC Program leadership
  • Document lessons learned and recommended practices to drive consistency across teams
Requirements

  • Pay Range*: $66 - $74.50 per hour
