Socket.dev is seeking a Project Manager to support the EHRM Infrastructure Upgrades at the Tuskegee VA Medical Center. You will function as an extension of the VA project team, overseeing construction activities, schedules, budgets, and change management.

The role requires field construction experience, QA/QC, and strong communication with VA personnel, A/E teams, contractors, and facility stakeholders. This is an on-site position focused on occupied healthcare facility construction.

Qualifications

  • Minimum three (3) years directly related to field construction activities, quality assurance, and contractor performance monitoring.

Responsibilities

  • Provide project management and construction oversight for EHRM Infrastructure Upgrades at Tuskegee VA Medical Center.
  • Monitor schedule and budget, manage changes, and perform constructability reviews.
  • Coordinate submittals and RFIs, conduct inspections and testing, and support commissioning.
  • Ensure quality assurance, field verification, issue resolution and claims support.
  • Lead progress meetings and provide regular reporting to VA stakeholders and project team.

Job description

Project Scope:

The Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking comprehensive Project Management and Construction Management support for the EHRM Infrastructure Upgrades at the Tuskegee VA Medical Center. The contractor will serve as an extension of the VA project team and support the COR throughout construction.

The work includes project management, construction oversight, project controls, schedule and budget monitoring, change management, constructability review, submittal and RFI coordination, inspections and testing, commissioning support, quality assurance, field verification, as-built documentation, issue resolution, claims support, progress meetings, reporting, and coordination with VA personnel, A/E teams, contractors, and facility stakeholders.

Required Experience and Skills
  • Minimum three (3) years directly related to field construction activities, quality assurance, and contractor performance monitoring.
  • Working knowledge of commercial construction practices
  • Knowledge of General Contractor and subcontractor field operations
