Job summary

Mobile Communications America in Richmond, VA, seeks an experienced Construction Manager to support our Data division. You will oversee and direct construction projects through completion, coordinating with PM, Operations, Deployment, and clients to ensure successful delivery.

The role emphasizes site safety, regulatory compliance, risk management, and reporting. Candidates should have strong leadership, scheduling, and budget skills, with a BS in CM or related field preferred but not required.

Qualifications

  • Proven working experience in construction management.
  • Advanced knowledge of construction management processes, means and methods.
  • Expert knowledge of building products, construction details and quality standards.
  • Understanding of all facets of the construction process.
  • Familiarity with construction management software packages.
  • Ability to plan and see the "big picture".
  • Competent in conflict and crisis management.
  • Leadership and human resources management skills.
  • BS degree in construction management, architecture, engineering or related field preferred, not required.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and direct construction of projects through completion.
  • Coordinate with the Project Management Team, Operations Manager, Deployment Team, Subcontractors, Engineering Team, Logistics Team, clients and other stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.
  • In-depth review of projects to schedule and coordinate deliverables.
  • Ensure monitor compliance with building and safety regulations.
  • Coordinate and direct the Deployment Team, consisting of both internal labor and subcontractor resources.
  • Ensure team has proper tools, materials and equipment for successful project delivery and support inventory management.
  • Ensure achievement of contractual construction commitments.
  • Daily review of construction progress.
  • Prepare internal and external reports pertaining to job status.
  • Planning to anticipate and mitigate problems and resolve emerging issues.
  • Support obtaining any required permits and licenses.
  • Analyze, manage and mitigate risks.
  • Ensure quality construction standards and the use of proper construction techniques.

Physical requirements:

The physical environment requires the employee to work inside.
