Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Construction Manager for an on-site role in Sacramento, CA, operating at the intersection of divisional personnel, senior leadership, program management, and key stakeholders. This position will be on site in Sacramento, CA.

Lead end-to-end construction management from concept through occupancy, coordinating with architects, engineers, consultants, contractors and internal teams to deliver workplace renovations and infrastructure upgrades while ensuring safety and regulatory

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree plus four years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency.
• Six years of related experience preferred.
• PMP or similar certifications preferred.
• OSHA 30 certification required or preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end management of workplace construction and renovation projects from concept through occupancy.
• Manage project scope, schedules, budgets, risk assessments, and resource planning.
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, consultants, contractors, and internal stakeholders throughout project lifecycles.
• Oversee tenant improvements (TI), office renovations, workplace modernization initiatives, and infrastructure upgrades.
• Ensure compliance with applicable building codes, safety regulations, environmental requirements, and corporate standards.
• Strategic planning of office and labs.
• Manage contractor selection, bid evaluations, contract negotiations, and project execution.
• Monitor construction progress, conduct site inspections, and resolve project issues proactively.
• Track project budgets, approve invoices, manage change orders, and provide financial reporting.
• Partner with Facilities, IT, Security, EHS, HR, and business leaders to ensure successful project deliver.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

• BA/BS plus four years of relevant experienceor demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with hyperscale mission critical/data center construction projects.
• PMP or similar certifications preferred.
• Six years of related experience.
• Strong understanding ofquality andsafety culture, regulatory compliance, assurance, and governance expectations.
• OSHA 30 certification with experience creating a strong safety culture.
