Job summary

Intrepid Acquisition Holdings, LLC is seeking a Construction Manager to read and interpret construction documents, lead design reviews, and ensure construction aligns with specifications. The role involves daily site reviews, reporting, and coordinating with government and contractor teams to deliver safe, quality projects.

The ideal candidate will hold a bachelor’s degree in engineering/construction management and have at least five years of field experience, with readiness for 100% deployment

Responsibilities

  • Ensure construction meets project specifications and quality standards.
  • Read, interpret, and decipher construction documents (schedules, specs, blueprints).
  • Participate in design reviews and ensure work adheres to documents.
  • Review shop drawings and submittals in a timely, accurate manner.
  • Monitor and document project progress and safety on site.
  • Attend project meetings; prepare and submit status reports and master schedule updates.
  • Safeguard government and contractor property and equipment.
  • Maintain clean, safe work areas and compliance with safety requirements.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to verify contract requirements and safety standards.
  • Observe concrete work and HVAC installation, testing, and BAL/ TAB review.

Job description

The Construction Manager shall read, interpret, and decipher all construction documents (schedules, specifications, blueprints, schematics, diagrams, etc.), participate in design reviews, and ensure that all construction is performed in accordance with the construction documents. Construction managers shall review construction sites daily, document the reviews, and file the documentation. The qualified candidate will work with a team of government and contractor engineers, designers and surveyors to ensure customer satisfaction and successful project completion. Ensures safety and quality of services provided

Essential Job Functions
  • Ensures that all construction is performed to the highest quality standards and in accordance with construction specifications.
  • Read, interpret, and decipher all construction documents (schedules, specifications, blueprints, schematics, diagrams, etc.)
  • Participate in design reviews and ensure that all construction is performed in accordance with the construction documents.
  • Review shop drawings and product submittals and recommendations in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Monitor, inspect, document and advise on all projects to include troop labor construction, as required.
  • Must be able attend project-specific meetings, prepare, and submit reports of project status and progress. The Construction Manager shall also submit a master schedule Advise and/or assist construction Contractors to resolve escort and access issues, as applicable.
  • Responsible for proper utilization and safeguarding of all government and contractor property (e.g., to include government facilities, equipment and tools).
  • Ensure all work areas are kept clean, orderly and in a safe manner.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to ensure construction work meets contract requirements and safety standards.
  • Observe and verify concrete work, including placement and review of concrete test results.
  • Monitor HVAC installation, start-up, and testing activities.
  • Review HVAC testing and balancing (TAB) reports to confirm systems are operating as designed.
Education & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in any engineering construction technology or construction management discipline
  • Five (5) years of construction field experience
Additional Requirements
  • Must possess a valid U.S. Driver’s License
  • Possess a valid U.S. Passport (preferred)
  • Able to obtain and maintain a valid Residency Visa for Jordan
  • Must be able to work in extreme environmental conditions including dust and high temperatures.
  • Must be able to endure long hours, exposure to weather and hazardous conditions.
Knowledge & Skills
  • Expert knowledge of building products, construction details and relevant rules, regulations and quality standards.
  • Must be versed in International Building Code (IBC), National Fire Protection Association Fire Codes and National Electric Code (NEC), in addition to general construction practices.
  • Basic computer skills include AutoCAD, MicroStation, 2D and 3D rendering programs and other analysis programs.
  • Strong attention to detail, facilitation, team building, collaboration, organization and problem solving skills
