Job summary

TekWissen is seeking a Construction Manager to lead electrical and controls integration in a large industrial setting at Liberty, NC. You will install, modify, and optimize equipment, coordinate with vendors, and drive safety and productivity improvements across the line.

The role requires 5 years in industrial controls and electrical systems, plus ability to travel up to 30%. You must be able to work overtime and stand for long periods in a manufacturing plant.

Qualifications

• Electrical system experience in industrial manufacturing.
• Ability to understand GC work, identify deficiencies, plan fixes and track closure.
• Overtime, holidays, weekends, and shutdowns required.

Responsibilities

• Test and repair electrical equipment or systems (circuits, relay logic, wiring, motors, servo drives).
• Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic and pneumatic components.
• Plan and execute machine integration into mass production (leveling, adjustment, quality conformance).
• Document work performed by written/electronic methods.
• Drive safety, quality, and productivity improvements.
• Develop detailed schedule for assigned work area / project.
• Learn new processes by different means.
• Support machine trials at vendors and locations.
• Certify safety of equipment per standards via White Kanban Check.

Work Type: Onsite

The primary responsibility of this position is to execute as the North American initial machine set-up personnel (SV), increase Operation Availability (OA) through continuous improvement and problem-solving technical issues. This role will also support the Battery department's objective to execute Capital Projects from planning thru Start of Production (SOP) by modifying machine function and design.

What you'll be doing:

• Test and repair electrical equipment or systems. (Involving circuits, relay logic, wiring, motors, servo drives, etc.)
• Troubleshooting and repair machine components of hydraulics and pneumatics.
• Plan and execute machine integration into mass production. (Leveling, adjustment and quality conformation for assigned work area)
• Perform basic administrative skills including documentation of work performed by written/electronic methods.
• Problem solving and continuously improvement of safety, quality, and productivity.
• Develop detailed schedule for assigned work area / project.
• Demonstrate the ability to learn new processes by different means.
• Supporting Machine trials at vendors and internal ocations.
• Certify Safety of Equipment per the standards via "White Kanban Check"

Requirements:
What you bring:

• Industrial Controls Engineer/Engineering Tech experience in a manufacturing environment, including equipment installation, modification, and optimization
• (5 years Required)
• Experience with electrical systems in an industrial manufacturing environment
• (5 years Required)
• Strong ability to understand GC work for each trade, recognize deficiencies, create plans to fix, and track until closure of the deficiency.

• Working experience with Electrical
• Technical experience building utilities
• Experience with Hydraulic or Pneumatic troubleshooting and schematic reading
• Availability to work overtime, holidays, weekends, and shutdowns
• Business travel, both domestic and international - up to 30%.
• Ability to stand, stoop, and walk throughout a large industrial manufacturing plant for many hours of the day.
• Ability to ascend & descend stairs throughout a large industrial manufacturing plant.
• Ability to bend, kneel and crawl to gain access to equipment for repair
• Ability to lift, push and pull 25 pounds in a one-time event

• Technical associate degree or higher or equivalent experience
• Experience in Pre-Production set up
• Experience gathering and analyzing quality data from multiple sources to determine root cause.
