Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a Construction Manager to oversee electrical systems for a mega project in Boise, ID. The role focuses on distribution systems, switchgear, transformers, substations, and related infrastructure, ensuring alignment with budget and schedule.

You will lead pre-construction activities including equipment buyout and drawing scrubbing, own the project scope across teams, and coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, and regulatory partners to drive successful project startup

Qualifications

• 7+ years of construction experience on mega/high-tech projects focusing on electrical systems.
• Strong knowledge of NEC, NFPA 70, IEEE standards, and applicable electrical codes.
• Experience with design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and Navisworks.
• Experience handling pre-construction activities: bids, equipment buyout, RFIs, and drawing scrubbing.
• Ability to coordinate with customers, internal/external stakeholders, subcontractors, and regulatory partners.

Job description

• Experience managing electrical contractors responsible for medium-voltage and low-voltage power distribution systems.

Job Description

An Insight Global customer in the construction industry is seeking to hire a Construction Manager to oversee the electrical systems for a mega project in Boise, ID. This project is multiple billions of dollars in total budget, is supporting a high-tech manufacturing client, and is expected to last into 2028. As a Construction Manager in this role, you'll be expected to complete all pre-construction tasks including equipment buyout and scrubbing drawings to align proper subcontractors and trade partners, take full ownership of your project scope including proper documentation and alignment across all teams and partners, facilitate training, run startup meetings with hundreds of teammates, review project submittal information, and receive and distribute RFIs.

The specific scope of work for this role will be electrical distribution systems, switchgear, transformers, substations, power monitoring systems, grounding systems, and related electrical infrastructure.
