Johnson, Mirmiran & Thompson (JMT) is seeking a Construction Engineer to support our Construction Inspection and Construction Management services in Northeast PA. The role emphasizes marketing, project management, QA/QC, and client relations.

Qualified candidates typically have 20+ years in CM/CI/CE, a BSCE or equivalent, and PA PE is preferred. A valid driver’s license is required and hybrid/work site flexibility is available.

Position Overview

Johnson, Mirmiran & Thompson (JMT) is a 100% employee‑owned consulting firm that provides multidisciplinary engineering, architecture, and information technology services to public agencies and private clients across the United States. JMT is seeking a Construction Engineer to assist and manage our Construction Inspection business and provide Construction Management services in the Northeast Pennsylvania region.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

• Assist the CM and CI Directors with marketing and business development for transportation construction projects.
• Assist with project management.
• Assist with project QA/QC in the assigned region.
• Maintain and build client relationships.
• Assist the CM/CI Directors with training and developing field staff, and conduct performance reviews.
• Provide Construction Management Services to clients in the Northeast PA region.

Nonessential Functions and Responsibilities

• Assist design disciplines with constructability questions and issues.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills

• Strong computer literacy skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Practical construction management capabilities.
• Active driver’s license and reliable motor vehicle; must successfully pass JMT’s Motor Vehicle screening.

Required Experience

• Experience working with local clients including PennDOT, PTC, and local municipalities and entities.
• 20+ years of experience in Construction Management, Construction Inspection, or Construction Engineering.

Preferred Experience

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering (or comparable).
• Professional Engineering license in PA.

Working Conditions

Work is performed within a general office, construction field office, or on a construction project site. The job is largely sedentary but may require occasional standing, climbing, and walking.
