Job summary

ArchKey Solutions LLC is offering a Construction Technologies Internship focused on hands-on experience with design, estimating, coordination, installation, and project management of technology and low-voltage systems in today's buildings. You'll work with experienced project and field teams to move systems from plans to completion.

Depending on the project, you may gain exposure to voice/data, video, security, nurse call, DAS, fire alarm, and other tech systems across a national project site,

• Enrolled in a relevant degree program.
• Strong written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Review technology drawings, specifications, plans, and system layouts and assist with design coordination.
• Assist with estimating, takeoffs, proposals, material planning, and project budgets.
• Support project teams with submittals, RFIs, schedules, change orders, and project documentation.
• Visit active jobsites to observe system installation, quality, safety, testing, and commissioning.
• Coordinate with project managers, designers, field leaders, subcontractors, vendors, general contractors, and customers.
• Gain exposure to BIM, CAD, Bluebeam, Procore, Accubid, and other technology/construction software, depending on the project.
• Learn how technology systems are coordinated with other building systems and integrated into the finished project.
• Assist with additional project activities based on business and project needs.

About The Position

Our summer Construction Technologies Internship provides hands‑on experience with the design, estimating, coordination, installation, and project management of technology and low‑voltage systems used in today’s buildings. Working alongside experienced project and field teams, you’ll see how these systems move from plans and specifications through installation, testing, and project completion.

Depending on the business group and project, you may gain exposure to voice/data, video and security, audiovisual, nurse call, distributed antenna systems, fire alarm, and other technology systems.

National Project Site

This position is based on a National project site and is not tied to a specific ArchKey office location. The internship assignment may be located at an active project site anywhere in the United States, depending on business needs. For example, assignments may be located in markets such as Texas, Minnesota, Missouri, Pennsylvania, Ohio, or other locations across the country. Interns should be prepared for temporary relocation and to work primarily at their assigned project site. Specific project location and assignment details will be shared during the interview process.

Day in the Life

As a Construction Technologies Intern, You’ll Work Alongside Project Managers, Designers, And Field Teams To Learn How Technology Systems Are Planned And Delivered. You May

Minimum Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a degree program inEngineering, Construction Management, Project Management, Information Technology, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Business, or a related field.
• Strong interest in technology systems, low-voltage construction, engineering, or project management.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively and learn in both office and jobsite environments.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Prior construction, technology, electrical, or low-voltage experience is a plus.
• Experience with Bluebeam, Procore, Accubid, Revit, CAD, BIM, or similar software is a plus.
• Ability to successfully complete a background check and drug screen.

Travel

Travel and temporary relocation to the assigned National project site may be required.
