Job summary

Pepper Construction is offering a Construction Management Intern position in Indianapolis, IN. You will work closely with a Project Manager and/or Superintendent, gaining exposure to submittals, take-offs, budgets, and meetings.

You will participate in training sessions, site tours, and safety activities, while learning about field and office operations at a reputable general contractor.

Qualifications

• Current college student entering Sophomore, Junior or Senior year studying Construction Management or a similar discipline.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong computer skills and the ability to quickly learn and apply new technology.
• Ability to work independently while still contributing and collaborating in a team.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail.
• Reliable transportation to and from work-related activities and assignments.
• Ability to work on an active construction site in central Indiana.

Responsibilities

• Assist with processing submittals and take-offs.
• Potentially assist in preparing budgets.
• Attend job site and owner meetings.

POSITION SUMMARY:

Pepper Construction is looking for qualified, intelligent students with a passion for learning about the construction industry to experience life with a commercial general contractor.

You will be paired with a Project Manager and/or Superintendent on one of our construction teams. You will work directly with many aspects of project management, including but not limited to, processing submittals, take-offs, potentially preparing budgets and attending job site/owner meetings. We intend to expose you to real-life situations in the field and in the office. You will also be involved in training sessions, jobsite tours and safety. You will gain hands‑on experience with a reputable general contractor in the Indianapolis Area.
