Job summary

LotusWorks seeks a driven Construction Management Intern for a 13-week program in Chandler, AZ. You’ll work with Superintendents, Project Engineers, and QA/QC teams on active projects, gaining exposure to safety, coordination, and quality practices.

High performers may be considered for full-time employment upon completion. You will rotate between field and office roles, learn design review, and contribute to field verification tasks while shadowing experienced professionals.

Qualifications

• Pursuing or holding a degree in construction management or related engineering field.
• Strong interest in construction management and field operations.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; familiarity with Bluebeam is a plus.
• Experience with BIM tools (Navisworks or Revit) is advantageous but not required.

Responsibilities

• Support daily construction activities with field supervision and safety briefings.
• Assist tracking progress and documenting field conditions throughout the project lifecycle.
• Help with RFIs, submittals, and document control for accurate logs and reports.
• Coordinate between trades and stakeholders to align milestones and deliverables.
• Review drawings for discrepancies and ensure alignment with specifications.
• Document design issues and coordination conflicts; support resolution channels.
• Conduct field verification of installed work against IFC drawings and QA/QC documentation.
• Capture field conditions with photos and redlines for as-built records.
• Participate in capstone project and present findings to LotusWorks leadership.

We are seeking a driven and detail‑oriented Construction Management Intern to join our project team in Chandler, AZ for a structured 13‑week program. This is a hands‑on role designed to provide real‑world experience across both field operations and project management, with a strong emphasis on design review and field verification. Interns will work directly alongside Superintendents, Project Engineers, and QA/QC teams on active construction projects, gaining meaningful exposure to industry best practices in safety, coordination, and quality. High‑performing interns may be considered for full‑time employment upon successful completion of the program.

Responsibilities

• Support daily construction activities alongside field supervision, participating in site walks, coordination meetings, and safety briefings.
• Assist with tracking construction progress and documenting field conditions throughout the project lifecycle.
• Assist with RFIs, submittals, and document control, helping to maintain accurate project logs and reports.
• Support coordination between trades and stakeholders to ensure alignment on project milestones and deliverables.
• Review construction drawings (architectural, structural, MEP), identifying discrepancies between drawings and specifications.
• Assist in tracking and documenting design issues and coordination conflicts, supporting resolution through the appropriate channels.
• Perform field verification of installed work against IFC drawings, assisting with inspections, punch walks, and QA/QC documentation.
• Capture and document field conditions using photos and redlines to support accurate as‑built records.
• Participate in a structured capstone project, culminating in a final presentation to LotusWorks leadership.
• Any other duties or responsibilities that may be assigned to you in your role.

Skills Required

• Strong interest in construction, project delivery, and field operations.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills and a genuine willingness to learn.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings is preferred but not essential.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with Bluebeam is a plus.
• Previous internship or construction site experience is advantageous but not required.
• Exposure to BIM tools such as Navisworks or Revit and an understanding of basic construction methods and sequencing are advantageous but not required.

Education / Licenses / Certifications

• Recent graduates holding a bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or other Engineering related discipline.
• Open to students who are currently pursuing a degree in related fields that are within their last year of their studies.
• Proof of education, licenses, and certifications will be required where applicable.
