Job summary

H2ajobs is seeking workers to remove snow, insulate, maintain, repair, and remodel existing agricultural buildings. You will operate tractors, trucks, and skid steer loaders to clear snow from sites and support livestock protection from the cold.

Candidates should be able to lift 75lbs for 75 yards and obtain a valid driver’s license, with 3 months of agricultural building maintenance experience and tolerance for temperature extremes.

Responsibilities

• Remove snow, insulate, maintain, repair and remodel existing agricultural buildings.

• Repair agricultural buildings during the offseason while in less use or when needed to protect valuable equipment or livestock from the cold.

• Place insulating materials on the inside and outside of agricultural buildings to insulate livestock from cold using trucks, ladders, hand and power tools.

Housing: Employer-provided (including mobile or range)

Meals: The employer will furnish free and convenient cooking and kitchen facilities so workers may prepare their own meals. Employer will provide (on a voluntary basis) transportation to assure workers access to stores where they can purchase groceries.

Transport: The employer will provide advance transportation for a reasonable (most economical) common carrier or other transportation which conforms to the Interstate Commerce Commission (ICC) for inbound and outbound transportation (if it is the prevailing practice). If not the prevailing practice, the employer will reimburse the worker for the transportation costs and subsistence to the employer’s worksite when the worker completes 50% of the work period.
