Job summary

Qualifications

• Understand and carry out oral instructions; read and follow written instructions to perform work tasks.
• Work at varying heights; lift up to 50 lbs; follow safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Set up and remove lane closures; maintain work zones and traffic control on streets and highways.
• Direct and control traffic using signs, cones and hand signals; monitor site access.
• Assist construction crew with setup and breakdown of activity; respond to changes to maintain safety.
• Record incidents or violations as needed and follow supervisor instructions.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
