Job summary

Granite Construction is seeking a Laborer to safely support concrete crews across demolition, building, highway, and heavy construction sites. This position offers an On the Job Training Program (OJT) and growth opportunities within a large national contractor.

You will learn hands-on from experienced crews and contribute to a variety of infrastructure projects. As part of Granite’s team, you will be exposed to diverse sites and tasks, with a focus on safety, reliability, and learning.

Qualifications

• Follow specific directions.
• Work outdoors in all types of weather conditions.
• Stand or walk for long periods; lift up to 50-100 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Measure distances and layout; drive stakes and line.
• Handle forms, blocks, and alignment accessories.
• Signal equipment operators for position and alignment.
• Level earth to grade using basic tools.
• Mix concrete with portable mixer.
• Finish poured concrete with float, trowel, or screed.
• Assemble pipes and join sections; seal as needed.
• Erect scaffolding, shoring, and braces.
• Perform various manual tasks with hand tools.
