Job summary

Kiewit is seeking entry-level construction laborers to assist skilled craft workers at on-site locations. You will perform a variety of duties requiring physical labor while prioritizing safety and cleanliness of work areas.

Responsibilities include supporting craftsmen, following supervisor instructions, and using hand and power tools as needed. Candidates should be able to move on a busy construction site and work irregular hours as required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred or required depending on experience.
• Ability to read, understand, and follow written and oral instructions and communicate with supervision.
• Ability to use hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Assist craftsman in setting up work as required.
• Follow instructions from foremen and experienced crew.
• Maintain safety as the first priority in all duties.
• Keep work areas clean and orderly throughout the shift.
• Read warning signs and follow jobsite safety rules.
• Observe equipment and systems to identify hazards.
