Job summary

Glidewell-Laboratories in Morrisville, NC is seeking a hands-on construction assistant to perform drywall, framing, flooring, and painting tasks, with attention to detail and quality workmanship.

You will maintain organized tool storage, follow SOPs, uphold safety rules, track progress on projects, and assist management with additional duties as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent education level.
• Minimum two years of construction or related experience.

Responsibilities

• Drywall tasks up to level 3 finish.
• Framing using basic techniques and terminology.
• Flooring repairs, base cove installation, and assistance on larger flooring installations.
• Painting with attention to detail and minimal rework.
• Maintain an organized and stocked tool cart/bag and requisition materials as needed.
• Adhere to safety protocols and SOPs and wear PPE as required.
• Track progress on assigned projects and report to supervisor.
• Perform other duties as required by management.

• Performs construction tasks including, but not limited to:
  • Drywall: Up to level 3 finish.
  • Framing: Basic framing techniques, and knowledge able of framing of terminology.
  • Flooring: Flooring repairs, base cove installation, and assists in larger flooring installations.
  • Painting: Paint with attention to detail with little to no rework.
• Maintains an organized and stocked tool cart/bag. Requests for and/or replenishes materials and supplies as necessary.
• Maintains a safe work environment by adhering to all safety protocols and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and wears protective equipment as required.
• Tracks assigned construction projects/tasks and ensures completion in a timely manner while adhering to operational standards. Communicates progress to project manager and/or supervisor.
• Performs other related duties and projects as business needs require at the direction of management.

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent education level.
• Minimum two (2) years of construction or related experience
