Job summary

Kent Companies is seeking a reliable construction laborer to support projects across building, residential, and heavy construction sites in Grand Rapids, MI. You will perform general labor, operate hand and power tools, and assist the foreman with daily mobilization and quality control to meet project goals.

The role requires physical work, the ability to handle 80 lb bags, and willingness to work in varied indoor/outdoor conditions. Competitive weekly pay and a benefits package are included.

Qualifications

• Experience performing general labor on construction sites.
• Ability to read and interpret basic project documents and prints.
• Work safely and adhere to PPE requirements.
• Willingness to operate hand/power tools and assist crew as needed.

Responsibilities

• Wear PPE: hard hat, high-visibility gear, and other protection as required.
• Safely perform general labor tasks on commercial construction sites.
• Install and maintain fall protection and safety systems.
• Locate materials and equipment; assist foreman with daily tasks.
• Read project prints and take-off sheets to execute tasks as designed.
• Coordinate with crew lead, foreman, and superintendent on safety and workflow.
• Assist with daily mobilization and crew coordination to meet goals.
• Train and mentor teammates to strengthen the division.
