Job summary

Lester Building Systems is hiring a Construction Laborer- Experienced to support the foreman in planning and building post-frame structures with a 3-4 person crew. You will help ensure safety compliance and efficient project execution.

The role requires carpentry experience, blueprints literacy, and ability to lift heavy loads, work at heights, and operate common tools. Join a family-oriented team focused on quality and timely completion.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years carpentry experience or equivalent.
• Must read construction blueprints and other documents for the building.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs (75 lbs occasionally) and work at heights.
• Team player with safety policy compliance.
• 2 years post-frame experience preferred.
• Experience with hand and power tools and construction equipment.
• Ability to work in various weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Construction Foreman in planning, organizing and constructing post-frame buildings with a 3-4 person crew while following safety policies.
• Assist crew members to complete projects on time and within budget.
• Support in technical and safety training of crew members, including new hires.
• Construct a quality building including footings, framing, building accessories and sheathing.

• The position is responsible for assisting the Construction Foreman in planning, organizing, and the construction of post-frame buildings while working on a 3-4 member crew and ensuring all safety policies and procedures are followed.
• Assist with job tasks for crew members in a manner which provides for success and business profit. Complete projects on time and within budget.
• Assists in the technical and safety training of Construction Crew Members, including new hires.
• Responsible for constructing a quality building including but not limited to: installing footings, framing, installing building accessories, and sheathingof structure.

Construction Laborer Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years carpentry experience or equivalent.
• Knowledge and experience using hand tools, power tools and various construction equipment.
• 2 years post frame experience (preferred).
• Ability to read construction blue prints and other documents provided for the construction of the building.
• Valid driver’s license and meet driving criteria guidelines.
• The ability to work effectively as a team member.
• Willingness to comply with all company safety policies and procedures.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., with occasional lifting up to 75 lbs.
• Ability to work at various heights.
• Ability to bend, stoop, and pickup product from various elevations.
• Ability to work in various types of weather conditions.

Construction Laborer Salary Range

$25.00 to $31.50 an hour

This represents a good faith estimate of the current salary range based on the level and requirements of the role. The specific compensation offered to a candidate may vary based on individual qualifications including, but not limited to relevant job knowledge, training, skills, work location, and/or experience. An employee may be eligible for additional premium pay. Please note that this range represents the full base hourly rate for the role. Hiring at or near the top of the range is uncommon to ensure room for future pay advancement.
