Job summary

Rochsg is seeking Construction Laborers to join our road construction crews in Southeast Minnesota and West Central Wisconsin. The role involves various tasks including job layout, shoveling, raking, sweeping, and operating small equipment.

On-the-job training will equip you with the necessary skills, offering the potential for advancement to equipment operator roles. Positions will be primarily located in areas such as Rochester, Austin, and Cannon Falls.

Qualifications

• Ability to operate small equipment such as blowers, saws, compactors, and jack hammers.
• Willingness to work in various locations and conditions.
• On-the-job training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Perform job layout, shoveling, raking, and sweeping.
• Work primarily on a road crew with potential advancement opportunities.
• Assist in maintenance at asphalt plants or shops as required.

Job description

Under direction of the foreperson, laborers will typically work on a road crew but may work at an asphalt plant or maintenance shop. A laborer’s job function will include, but not be limited to: job layout, shoveling, raking and sweeping, along with operating small equipment such as blowers, saws, compactors and jack hammers.

On the job training will provide the knowledge and skills to become a productive member of one of our crews, with the potential for advancement opportunities to become an equipment operator.

Our Construction Laborers and road construction crews complete work throughout Southeast Minnesota and West Central Wisconsin, including Rochester, MN; Austin, MN; Cannon Falls, MN; Red Wing, MN and surrounding communities.
