Job summary

Trillium Construction is seeking General Laborers (Equipment Spotters) near Phoenix, AZ for a hands on construction position, working around heavy equipment and an active steel erection operation. Laborers will work directly alongside ironworkers, erectors, operators, and foremen on active commercial and industrial construction sites.

The primary responsibility will be spotting and safely guiding construction equipment and vehicles, while also assisting the crew with material handling, site

Qualifications

• Spotter experience with construction equipment is required.
• Ability to read and follow hand signals and communicate with operators.
• Experience around ironworking/PEMB/rigging is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Spot and guide telehandlers, forklifts, cranes, boom lifts, delivery trucks, and other construction equipment.
• Use proper hand signals and maintain clear communication with equipment operators.
• Assist operators when backing, positioning, loading, unloading, or maneuvering equipment in congested work areas.
• Maintain safe distances from suspended loads, moving equipment, and active steel erection operations.
• Assist with staging structural steel, metal panels, tools, and construction materials.
• Help crews load, unload, carry, and position materials around the jobsite.
• Assist ironworkers and PEMB erectors with general installation support as directed.

Trillium Construction is seeking General Laborers (Equipment Spotters) near Phoenix, AZ for a hands on construction position, working around heavy equipment and an active steel erection operation.

Laborers will work directly alongside ironworkers, erectors, operators, and foremen on active commercial and industrial construction sites. The primary responsibility will be spotting and safely guiding construction equipment and vehicles, while also assisting the crew with material handling, site cleanup, staging, and other general construction duties.

Key Responsibilities

• Spot and guide telehandlers, forklifts, cranes, boom lifts, scissor lifts, delivery trucks, and other construction equipment.
• Use proper hand signals and maintain clear communication with equipment operators.
• Assist operators when backing, positioning, loading, unloading, or maneuvering equipment in congested work areas.
• Maintain safe distances from suspended loads, moving equipment, and active steel erection operations.
• Assist with staging structural steel, metal panels, tools, and construction materials.
• Help crews load, unload, carry, and position materials around the jobsite.
• Assist ironworkers and PEMB erectors with general installation support as directed.

Pay: Up to $26

Schedule: Mon - Fri (and possible Saturdays), 50h / week

Qualifications

• Situational awareness and experience working on an ironworking/PEMB/rigging required.
• Previous commercial or industrial construction experience preferred.
• Direct equipment spotting experience heavily preferred.
• Experience working around heavy equipment, cranes, forklifts, telehandlers, or aerial lifts strongly preferred.
• Ability to properly spot and guide moving equipment using standard hand signals.
• Pass pre-employment screenings.
