LMJ Contractors, Inc. is hiring a Construction Laborer to assist on commercial projects in the region. You will support skilled trades, handle tools, read blueprints, and help with concrete work while following strict safety protocols.

Qualifications

• Prior experience is preferred but not required; on‑the‑job training provided.
• Knowledge of concrete forming, pouring, finishing, cutting, and pumping techniques.
• Experience with carpentry, drywall installation, plastering, caulking, stucco and tile is a plus.
• Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment used on construction sites.
• Strong understanding of safety regulations and adherence to safety protocols.
• Physical ability to perform demanding tasks including heavy lifting, ladders and standing.
• Reliable transportation and valid identification required.
• Ability to work independently or with a team.

Responsibilities

• Assist with setup and cleanup of construction sites, including moving materials and tools.
• Operate hand tools and power tools to cut, drill, and fasten safely.
• Support concrete work by mixing, pouring, finishing, and cutting concrete per specs.
• Read blueprints and drawings to ensure proper execution under foreman guidance.
• Install rebar, formwork, metal studs, drywall, stucco, tile per safety protocols.
• Lift heavy materials and equipment, following safety procedures.
• Work as part of a crew to meet project schedules and deadlines.
• Travel to job sites, including occasional overnight stays.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the setup and cleanup of construction sites, including moving materials and tools
• Operate hand tools and power tools safely to perform tasks such as cutting, drilling, and fastening
• Support concrete work by mixing, pouring, finishing, and cutting concrete as per project specifications
• Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to ensure accurate execution of construction plans from the direction of the foreman
• Install rebar, formwork, metal studs, drywall, stucco, tile, and other building components according to safety protocols
• Perform heavy lifting of materials and equipment while maintaining proper safety procedures
• Work effectively as part of a team to meet project schedules and deadlines
• Ability and willingness to travel to certain jobsites, including occasional overnight stays
• Follow all construction workplace safety regulations to prevent accidents and ensure a secure environment

Qualifications

• Prior experience working on construction projects or in a related trade is preferred but not required; training can be provided
• Knowledge of concrete forming, pouring, finishing, cutting, and pumping techniques
• Experience with carpentry, drywall installation, plastering, caulking, stucco application, and tile laying is a plus
• Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment used in construction sites
• Strong understanding of construction safety regulations and the importance of adhering to safety protocols
• Physical ability to perform demanding tasks including heavy lifting, working on ladders and scaffolding and remain on your feet for extended periods of time
• Reliable transportation and valid identification
• Ability to work independently as well as with a crew
• Strong work ethic with attention to detail and dependable attendance
• $20–$25 per hour, based on trade experience and qualifications
