Job Description

With this laborer position, you will be part of one of our roadside construction crews that install and repair guide rail throughout Eastern Pennsylvania. Laborer duties include unloading and loading materials, aligning and securing guide rail material, layout of guide rail material, traffic control duties, and other various tasks.

Qualifications

Having a Class A or B commercial driver license (CDL) is preferred but not required. For applicants who do not currently possess a CDL, assistance may be provided to obtain one. Applicants must be able to lift 50 lbs. regularly throughout the day, must be 18 years of age, and must be able to pass a pre‑employment drug screening.

Work Schedule

Work schedule varies. Applicants must be available to work overtime, rain make‑up days, and may need to stay out of town overnight.

Pay and Benefits

Union scale pay rate based on position/job, typically ranging from $26 to $35 per hour. Pay is weekly with per diem. Incentives are given for laborers who have a CDL. An excellent benefits package, including a pension, is available through the Union.

Work Area

Work will be located primarily throughout Northeast Pennsylvania.
