Job summary

Flanigan's Enterprises, Inc. in Fort Lauderdale is seeking a Construction Laborer to provide hands-on support across multiple restaurant sites. You will perform site prep, material handling, demolition prep, and assist trades while operating hand and power tools.

Safety is emphasized, with PPE required and strict adherence to site rules. Ideal candidates have some construction experience or are willing to learn.

Qualifications

• Previous construction or manual labor experience preferred but not required.
• Must be physically able to lift up to 75 lbs regularly.
• Willingness to learn on the job and follow directions from foremen.
• Reliable transportation and ability to travel to local sites.

Responsibilities

• Site Preparation & Cleanup: clear debris, sweep areas, set safety barriers.
• Material Handling: unload deliveries and move lumber, drywall, concrete, tools.
• Demolition & Prep: assist with basic demolition and remodeling prep.
• Trade Support: assist carpenters, painters, and concrete crews with tasks.
• Tool Operation: safely use drills, saws, grinders, and related tools.

Job description

We are seeking a reliable, motivated, and physically fit Construction Laborer to join our team. You will provide critical hands-on support across various Flanigan's restaurant sites, ensuring projects are completed safely and efficiently.

• Site Preparation & Cleanup Clear debris, sweep work areas, set up safety barriers, and maintain an organized, hazard-free job site.
• Material Handling Unload deliveries and safely move heavy construction materials, such as lumber, drywall, concrete mixes, and tools, to designated areas.
• Demolition & Prep Assist with basic demolition, tearing out materials, and preparing structures for remodeling or new construction.
• Trade Support Assist skilled tradespeople, including carpenters, concrete crews, and painters, with framing, tool handling, staging materials, and general tasks.
• Tool Operation Safely operate hand tools, power tools, and basic site equipment, such as drills, saws, grinders, and pressure washers.
• Physical Stamina Ability to perform heavy manual labor, stand for long periods, bend, kneel, and lift up to 50-75 lbs. regularly.
• Reliable Transportation Must have a dependable vehicle and valid driver's license to travel to various local job sites.
• Safety-Minded Strict adherence to job site safety protocols, including wearing required PPE (steel-toe boots, hard hat, and safety glasses).
• Work Ethic Dependable, punctual, and able to take direction well from job site foremen and leads.
• Experience Previous experience in construction, remodeling, or general manual labor is preferred but not required. Willing to train the right candidate.

Scheduling & Flexibilty

• Work hours can vary based on project demands and your availability.
• Shifts are available during the day, early mornings, or nights, depending on current project timelines.
