Job summary

Orkin is seeking hands-on technicians in Davenport, IA to install pest protection systems and collaborate with a crew. The role includes attic/crawlspace services, light carpentry, and customer communication, leveraging paid training for those new to pest control.

You’ll work outdoors in varying weather, lift up to 50 lbs, and progress through PPE requirements as needed. A state pesticide license can be earned with company guidance within 90 days.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience using a metal brake to bend metal components.
• Ability to obtain a state pesticide license within 90 days (company-paid training).
• Valid driver's license with good driving record.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs. and work safely in attics or crawlspaces.
• Must wear PPE, including an OSHA-compliant respirator, as required.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and install pest and home protection systems.
• Work on a crew of technicians to complete projects.
• Complete attic and crawlspace services, including encapsulation and insulation.
• Light carpentry work.
• Communicate clearly with customers.
• Maintain company equipment and complete reports via handheld device.

Qualifications

• Candidates with construction, roofing, HVAC, or maintenance experience (preferred)

• Comfortable working in varying weather conditions, confined spaces, and on roofs.

Minimum Requirements:
