Job summary

Fessler & Bowman, Inc. is seeking a Laborer to support skilled concrete and civil earthwork crews on active job sites across North Carolina. You will assist with digging trenches, mixing and moving materials, staging equipment, and keeping work areas clean while following safety policies.

The ideal candidate understands English, is able to lift up to 75 lbs, and is willing to travel to nearby sites. Prior concrete experience is preferred but not required, and you must have a valid driver's

Summary:

Laborers for Fessler & Bowman will perform a variety of tasks that aid our skilled workers in the completion of projects. It is crucial to have the skills necessary to work as a valued team member for F& B to provide the type of service our customers have come to expect. To perform this position sufficiently, the employee must be able to perform the following duties satisfactorily. The below descriptions represent, but do not limit, the duties expected of this position.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Digging trenches, holes and ditches
• Mixing concrete
• Staging, organizing and cleaning up work sites
• May operate hand and power tools
• Load and unload equipment, clear work areas, and transport materials
• Other duties to be assigned

Education, Experience & Qualifications:

• Prior concrete experience preferred
• Willingness to learn and follow all safety policies and requirements
• This position requires climbing, kneeling, bending and crawling often as well as the ability to work on ladders, platforms and mechanical lifts
• Must be able to understand English
• Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs.
• Valid Driver’s License required

Travel:

Travel may be required for this position as the employee must be willing to travel to surrounding job sites. F& B will compensate a per diem for travel and overnight stay if applicable.

Work Environment:

As a Laborer, you will be subject to various work environments. Environments include but are not limited to the following: high/low temperatures, areas close to traffic, loud and frequent noises, confined spaces, heights, indoor/outdoor settings.
