Job Description

The laborer performs tasks involving physical labor for construction projects in the major technical trades. This position may operate hand and power tools, clean and prepare job sites, dig trenches, clear rubble and debris, and assist with other on‑site tasks as required by each project.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with technical tasks in plumbing, electrical, concrete, flooring, roofing, painting, framing, drywall, and finishing for doors, windows, and cabinetry.
  • Help install fixtures including windows, roofing, flooring, trim, tile, ceiling tile, hardware, HVAC, and switchboxes.
  • Perform framing tasks with wood, metal, drywall, fiberglass reinforced plastic, and T‑Bar.
  • Operate and maintain tools and equipment (drills, saws, nail guns, hammers, shovels, etc.).
  • Execute physical labor tasks as needed, traveling to work sites and responding to 24/7 emergency coverage.
  • Maintain a clean job site to eliminate hazards and ensure safety rules, regulations, and incident reporting are followed.
  • Organize building material, load and unload trucks, and assist workers on construction and pre‑construction assignments.
  • Read instructions, specifications, and plans to determine work activities.
  • Work safely in accordance with the Health, Safety and Environmental Program for self‑protection and for the protection of co‑workers, subcontractors, the public, and customer representatives.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of general trades (plumbing, electrical, concrete, flooring, roofing, painting, framing, drywall, doors, windows, cabinetry).
  • Possess the necessary tools to perform job functions.
  • Organized, dependable team player with strong communication skills.
  • Professional, results‑driven, friendly, and positive attitude toward change.
  • Ability to identify a need, remove barriers, and apply logic to make things happen.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a valid state driver’s license with a clean driving record and reliable transportation.
