Job summary

Greystar invites rising juniors and seniors to join its Summer Internship Program in construction. Over 10 weeks you will contribute to multimillion-dollar projects as part of an in-house general contractor team, learning from mentors and professionals across Investment, Finance, Marketing, IT, Data, Leasing, Development, and Operations.

You will attend planning meetings, assist with quantity takeoffs, bid packages, submittals, and quality control, and present a Final Capstone Project showcasing

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a bachelor's degree program in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture or a related major
• Graduating between December 2027 and May 2029

Responsibilities

• Assist project team in management of overall site, subcontractors, and inspection of completed work
• Handle project controls management, including requests for information, submittals, document management, change management and quality control
• Participate in project planning meetings and reviews
• Assist the preconstruction team in performing quantity take offs, developing bid packages, soliciting bids, and preparing estimates

Our internship immerses you in the multifamily construction industry, giving you hands‑on experience while working on Greystar's portfolio of multimillion‑dollar construction projects. As an in‑house general contractor, every project requires open communication, a focus on quality, and a commitment to every detail.

What you'll do:

• Assist project team in management of overall site, subcontractors, and inspection of completed work
• Handle project controls management, including requests for information, submittals, document management, change management and quality control
• Participate in project planning meetings and reviews
• Assist the preconstruction team in performing quantity take offs, developing bid packages, soliciting bids, and preparing estimates

Qualifications:

• Strong organizational, time-management, and project management skills
• Ability to effectively track, report, and manage multiple projects and priorities while meeting deadlines
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and work in a team environment with a wide variety of people, including owners, architects, subcontractors, and business leaders
• Attention to detail and focus on quality
• Enrolled in a bachelor's degree program in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture or a related major
• Graduating between December 2027 and May 2029

The Internship Experience:

The Greystar Summer Internship Program packs 10 weeks with real projects, real responsibility, and real connections. You'll dive straight into the action on a team like Investment, Finance, Marketing, IT, Data, Leasing, Development, or Operations—doing work that actually moves the needle, not just watching from the sidelines.

The compensation for this position is $27.50/hour.

Additional Compensation

• Corporate Positions: In addition to the base salary, this role may be eligible to participate in a quarterly or annual bonus program based on individual and company performance.
• Onsite Property Positions: In addition to the base salary, this role may be eligible to participate in weekly, monthly, and/or quarterly bonus programs.
