Job summary

Bozzuto Construction Company (BCC) invites motivated students to join its 10‑week Construction Intern program in a multifamily construction environment. The role mirrors an entry‑level field engineer, offering hands‑on exposure from June 7 to August 13, 2027.

You will compile submittals, maintain site documents, attend to RFIs, manage look‑ahead schedules and support the team through close‑out activities, with daily reports and notes.

Qualifications

• Enrollment as a student in an engineering (civil, architectural, mechanical) or construction management program.
• Strong interest in construction, real estate, architecture and/or development.
• Proficiency with computer applications, particularly Excel.
• Ability to read, analyze and interpret contract documents.
• Strong written communication skills for reports and correspondence.

Responsibilities

• Compile, present and track submittals and related correspondence with design consultants, subcontractors, owners and owner representatives.
• Maintain organized contract documents on site, including plans, specs, communications, RFIs, submittals and addenda.
• Estimate and price budget items and pending change orders.
• Prepare and submit RFIs and distribute responses to stakeholders.
• Oversee punch‑list items and assist in project close‑out activities.
• Coordinate subcontractor activities and two‑week look‑ahead schedules.
• Draft and distribute daily field reports, meeting notes and minutes.

Primary Responsibilities

As a Construction Intern, you will gain hands‑on learning experience in a multifamily construction environment. This 10-week program (June 7th - August 13th, 2027) is designed to mirror the role of an entry‑level construction field engineer, giving you first‑hand exposure to the responsibilities and expectations of a full‑time hire.

• Compile, present and track submittals and related correspondence with design consultants, subcontractors, owners and owner representatives
• Maintain a complete and organized set of contract documents at the site, including plans, specifications, communications, RFIs, submittals, addendums, ASIs and ASKs
• Estimate and price miscellaneous items related to the budget and pending change orders
• Prepare and submit RFIs to design consultants and distribute responses to the appropriate stakeholders
• Oversee punch‑list items and contribute to project close‑out activities
• Coordinate subcontractor activities both daily and through two‑week look‑ahead schedules
• Draft and distribute daily field reports, meeting notes and minutes
• Track and report on contract timing, key deliverables and schedules
• Maintain an accurate up‑to‑date set of as‑built drawings on site
• Manage drawing and document coordination and reviews, ensuring accuracy, organization and timely distribution to all parties

What You Bring to Us

• Enrollment as a graduate or undergraduate student in an engineering (civil, architectural, mechanical) or construction management program
• A strong interest in construction, real estate, architecture and/or development
• Proficiency with computer applications, particularly Excel
• Ability to read, analyze and interpret a wide range of contract documents, including those related to property construction as well as general business publications, professional journals, technical procedures and government regulations
• Strong written communication skills with the ability to prepare reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals

Salary Range

$24 — $25 USD
