Job summary

MWH Constructors, Inc. (MWH) is seeking a Construction-Focused Intern to support our Colorado, Oregon, and Washington based projects. Roles could include Project Engineer, Field Engineer, VDC Engineer, Safety, Estimating, and Construction Finance.

This internship will involve hands-on work on-site across WA, OR, and CO, with mentoring and opportunities to grow in heavy construction. You will develop skills in MS Office, reporting, and basic engineering calculations while supporting project teams.

Qualifications

Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in construction management or engineering.
Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and strong written communication.
Strong interpersonal abilities for teamwork with staff, clients, and stakeholders.
Interest in a career in heavy construction.
Ability to perform basic calculations and learn new tools.

Responsibilities

Assist with project controls, change orders, RFIs and other construction administration duties.
Prepare look-ahead schedules using information from subcontractors.
Generate reports such as submittal and RFI logs and assist document control.
Process submittals and RFIs and update working drawings with changes.
Provide technical support for construction efforts and contact vendors for information.
