Job summary

Slayden Constructors Inc. (SCI), a subsidiary of MWH Constructors, Inc., is seeking a Construction-Focused Intern to support our Oregon and Washington-based projects.

Roles could include Project Engineer, Field Engineer, VDC Engineer, Safety, Estimating, and Construction Finance. Essential functions include assisting with project controls, RFIs, submittals, and document control; preparing look-ahead schedules; updating drawings; performing simple calculations; and coordinating with vendors.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's in CM or related engineering field.
• Interest in a career in heavy construction.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; strong writing and communication.
• Strong interpersonal abilities for diverse teams.
• Experience with construction and/or mechanical processes.

Responsibilities

• Assist with project controls, change orders, RFIs, and admin duties.
• Prepare look-ahead schedules with subcontractor input.
• Generate reports such as submittal and RFI logs; manage documents.
• Process submittals and RFIs.
• Update drawings with RFIs and changes; keep current.
• Perform simple calculations.
• Provide technical support for construction efforts.
• Coordinate with vendors for information.
• Follow health and safety guidelines.
