Job summary

Gilbane Building Company is offering a nationwide Construction Intern program with in-person opportunities across multiple locations including Providence, RI. Interns will support project staff on construction management projects or in district offices and gain hands-on experience.

The role targets students in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or related fields, with exposure to the construction industry viewed as a plus.

Responsibilities

Interns learn Gilbane's construction methods and practices throughwork assignments on a job site team, assisting project engineering, accounting and superintending staff with daily duties.

Qualifications

EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION

• Currently enrolled in Engineering, Construction Management or similar program
• Prior exposure to construction industry is a plus
• Or equivalent combination of education and experience

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

• Strong communication skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office

Depending on individual role requirements, positions may be located at any U.S. location where Gilbane has an office. Salary to be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and/or experience of the applicant, as well as the internal equity and alignment with the team.

The pay ranges from $17.00-$32.00 per hour.
