Job summary

MWH Constructors, Inc. is seeking a Construction-Focused Intern to support our Colorado, Oregon, and Washington based projects.

The role may include Project Engineer, Field Engineer, VDC Engineer, Safety, Estimating, and Construction Finance tasks. Essential functions include assisting with project controls, preparing schedules, preparing and logging RFIs/submittals, updating drawings, and providing technical support.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
• Interest in a career in heavy construction.
• Excellent writing and communication skills; strong interpersonal abilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist with project controls, change orders, RFIs and other construction administration duties.
• Prepare look-ahead schedules using information from subcontractors.
• Generate reports such as submittal and RFI logs and manage document control.
• Process Submittals and RFIs.
• Update working drawings with RFIs and changes to keep information current.
• Perform simple calculations to support project teams.
• Provide technical support for construction efforts.
• Contact vendors for information as needed.
• Adhere to company health and safety policies and promote safe work practices.
