Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in construction management or civil engineering with at least 1 year of study.
• Recent graduates who plan to continue to a master’s degree are eligible to apply.
• Experience working for a general contractor is preferred.
• Exposure to construction-based computer programs is a plus.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) is expected.

Job Description

AECOM Hunt is seeking a Construction Intern to be based in Indianapolis, IN working on our IU Health project.

This position is expected to begin in Summer 2027.

• Performs a variety of assignments designed to develop professional work knowledge and abilities, requiring the application of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria in carrying out tasks.
• Follows instructions to accomplish tasks assigned by senior staff.
• Meets required schedules while producing quality work.
• Interns are assigned duties that will provide a broad, well-rounded learning experience within their field of study.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

• Candidates must be pursuing a bachelor’s degree in construction management, civil engineering and/or similar discipline and must have completed at least 1 year of study. Candidates who have recently graduated with a bachelor’s degree and plan to continue with the master’s degree are eligible to apply for these positions. Recent graduates must have been enrolled in their bachelor’s degree in the most previous school term with an interest in pursuing an advanced degree in the same or similar discipline at the conclusion of the internship.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working for a general contractor.
• Previous relevant internship experience.
• Exposure to other construction-based computer programs.
• Microsoft Office proficiency (Word, Excel, and Outlook), as well as exposure to other construction-based computer programs.

Additional Information

• This position does not include sponsorship for United States work authorization now or in the future.
• This position may be offer relocation assistance.
• Qualified applicants who are offered a position must pass a pre-employment substance abuse test.
• Compensation: USD 21 - USD 28 - hourly

Offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The range for this position is $21 to $28.
