Qualifications

• 5 years of construction welding inspection experience.
• 2 years of coating and structural bolting inspection experience.
• NACE Level I or SSPC Protective Coatings Inspector Level 1 certification.
• Coating inspection with NACE Level I or SSPC Protective Coatings Inspector Level 1, minimum 2 years experience.
• Structural bolting inspection certified per AASHTO G4.2 guidelines.
• Experience with three‑phase QC/inspection process, EM 385‑1‑1 USACE Safety Manual, and RMS preferred.

Construction Inspector - Welding/Coating

Join Accura Engineering and Consulting Services, Inc. as a Construction Inspector – Welding/Coating. The role requires a U.S. citizen, federal background review, and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Observe, inspect, and report on federal construction projects for compliance with plans, specifications, workmanship, materials, and construction methods.
• Perform construction welding inspections related to steel fabrication and fabricate shop practices including storage, handling, cutting, bending, machining, fit‑up, surface prep, welding, bolting, erection, and coatings.
• Inspect coatings, test various coating systems, and perform structural bolting inspections and testing of bolting methods and installation.
• Provide recommendations to government personnel regarding contract plans and specifications for all construction phases.
• Monitor contractor quality system, administer three‑phase inspection process, and assist owner in problem resolution.
• Deliver change orders, modifications, RFIs, and submittals; monitor contractor schedule and review QA and safety plans.
• Utilize Resident Management System (RMS).
