General Responsibilities: Perform daily inspection of construction projects, monitoring quality and adherence to building code requirements, construction drawings, and project specifications. Inspections may include multiple disciplines such as structural steel, concrete, masonry, fireproofing, etc. Inspection tasks include visual/physical inspection and field testing to verify conformance. Prepare inspection reports, document observations, and communicate findings to engineers or project managers. Collaborate on solutions to potential issues and adhere to safety standards.

Essential Roles and Responsibilities:

• Perform testing, observation, and inspection as directed to ensure work complies with contract specifications.
• Read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Document findings clearly and accurately.
• Prepare inspection reports and document nonconformance.
• Analyze data for accuracy before submission.
• Communicate information to the Project Manager and team.
• Interact with clients and site personnel to resolve findings.
• Assist in developing scope for testing and inspection services.
• Coordinate pre-dispatch activities.
• Maintain equipment calibration and operation.
• Assist senior inspectors on complex projects.
• Follow safety practices, perform pre-task planning, and report safety issues.
• Maintain quality standards across projects.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree preferred.
• 2-4 years’ experience in construction inspection.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable violation history.

Required Certifications:

• Completion of safety certifications.
• At least three certifications from the following:
• NICET Level II in Construction Materials Testing or Geotechnical.
• ICC certifications in reinforced concrete, fireproofing, masonry, steel welding, etc.
• AWS CWI certification.
• ASNT Level II in VT, MT, PT, RT, UT.
• Other relevant certifications as deemed appropriate.
• Additional certifications in ACI, radiation safety, or nuclear density gauge operation are advantageous.
