Job summary

Jobtailor in Colorado is seeking an experienced on-site inspector for heavy highway construction projects along the Front Range. You will inspect activities, read plans and specs, and document daily progress while on site and report to the Project Engineer and Volkert Project Manager.

Candidates should have at least 5 years of heavy highway construction experience, CDOT certifications, proficiency with Word/Excel, and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of heavy highway construction experience.
• Ability to read construction plans and specifications.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and internet/email usage.
• Ability to obtain (or hold) certifications including Traffic Control Supervisor, CDOT Highway Plan Reading, CDOT Construction Surveying, CDOT Basic Highway Math, ACI Concrete Transportation Construction Inspection, and Transportation Erosion Control Supervisor Training.
• Ability to be on your feet for long periods.
• Flexible work hours.
• Willingness to temporarily relocate to project locations if necessary.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening.
• Valid driver’s license and a satisfactory motor vehicle report (MVR).
• Prior experience on CDOT construction projects is a bonus.
