SLR Consulting is hiring a Construction Inspector in Cheshire, CT. You will assist Resident Engineers and Chief Inspectors on CTDOT, municipal and private projects, perform site measurements, documentation, and basic material testing, and coordinate with utilities and contractors.

The role involves drafting support, estimates, change orders, and preparing daily reports. Candidates should have a Civil Engineering/Construction Management degree in progress and pursue certifications like EIT/PE,

Qualifications

• Projected graduation with Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering/Construction Management within 2 years.
• Excellent written and communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and judgment capabilities.
• Ability to organize and manage multiple tasks and assist team members.

Responsibilities

• Review Contract Documents (Plans and Specifications).

We are Making Sustainability Happen.As our new **Construction Inspector**, you will play an important role on a team whose work is essential to achieving this goal.**Role**As a Construction Inspector you will provide assistance to the Resident Engineers and Chief Inspectors in the management of small to medium size projects and supporting larger more complex projects often working under the direction of Connecticut DOT (CTDOT) staff. The types of projects focus on CTDOT and Utility/Infrastructure construction project including highway, local road, bridge, water main and sanitary sewer infrastructure type construction often following the CTDOT inspection process. In addition the candidate will assist the designers in drafting, designing, estimating and specification writing for a variety of projects. SLR provides a wide range of construction-related services, private and public, including construction management, project administration, and construction observation/inspection.**Responsibilities:*** Assist the Resident Engineer/Chief Inspector with Private, Municipal and State Projects* Review Contract Documents (Plans and Specifications)* Conduct measurements and documentation of construction activities to ensure compliance with contract documents.* Perform basic material testing activities and supplying results for internal and external purposes.
