Job summary

Horrocks is seeking a Construction Inspector in Tucson, AZ to perform contract inspections ensuring compliance with plans and specs across all project phases. The role reports to Construction Management and includes field testing and daily documentation.

The position requires 2–5 years of construction inspection experience, multiple certifications, independent work ability, and some travel. Competitive pay and benefits accompany this role.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of experience in Construction Inspection.
• ACI Certified is required.
• ATTI Field Technician is required.
• ATSSA Traffic Control Technician/Supervisor is preferred.
• SWPPP erosion control is preferred.
• IMSA training is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Serves as a construction inspector on infrastructure projects under the general supervision of the project engineer.
• Tracks and inspects the daily activities of the contractor, measuring completed items of work and recording them for payment.
• Daily project documentation.
• Determines when the project materials and procedures are not in compliance with project plans or specifications. Submits daily diaries or inspection logs, detailing all daily activities, labor, and equipment.
• Inspects traffic control and other worksite items for safety and compliance with standards.
• Coordinates with the contractor to facilitate construction operations.
• Field materials testing using nuclear density gauge, if needed.
• Concrete testing, if needed.

Compensation: $20.00 - $30.00 / hour
