Descrizione del lavoro

Title: Construction General Superintendent – Aviation (Miami/Dade County, FL)

Florida Construction Connection in conjunction with Construction Management firm is conducting a confidential national search for an accomplished General Project Superintendent to join the leadership team for a major, multi-year airport expansion project in Florida.

This is not a step-up opportunity.

We are seeking a proven aviation construction leader who has already served as the lead field construction professional on an aviation project valued at $500 million +

This is a major greenfield expansion that will tie into an existing operating airport. Construction will be executed over five years with multiple phases and milestone turnovers, including the phased delivery of gates while airport operations continue. Opportunity to continue to another project or severance after completion.

The General Project Superintendent will be a key field leader responsible for helping establish and lead the field organization required to execute this project from mobilization through phased turnover and completion.

THE RIGHT INDIVIDUAL MUST HAVE:
  • Previous experience as the General Superintendent, Lead Superintendent, Project Superintendent or equivalent senior field leader on at least one $500 million or greater aviation construction project
  • Major airport terminal, concourse, gate, aviation infrastructure or airport expansion experience
  • Experience leading the overall field execution of a major aviation project, not simply responsibility for an individual area, trade package or portion of the project
  • Experience building, organizing and leading large field teams including multiple Superintendents, Assistant Superintendents, subcontractors and major trade partners
  • Proven responsibility for field execution, logistics, phasing, sequencing, schedule, safety, quality and milestone turnover
  • Experience managing construction within an active airport environment where existing airport and airline operations must continue throughout construction
  • Experience coordinating complex phased construction and turnover requirements, including the delivery of completed areas and gates while construction continues elsewhere on the project
  • The leadership presence and technical construction knowledge to work effectively with Project Executives, owners, airport authorities, airlines, design teams, subcontractors and other project stakeholders
  • The ability to anticipate field challenges, drive accountability and maintain alignment across a large and complex project organization
  • A demonstrated record of taking highly complex aviation projects from planning and mobilization through construction, phased turnover and successful completion

This position is based in Florida and is intended for someone who wants to make Florida home.

Candidates must be willing to reside in Florida for a minimum of five years and commit to leading this project through its major phases. This is not intended to be a short-term traveling Superintendent assignment.

We are searching nationally because the right person may currently be leading or completing another major aviation project anywhere in the United States.
