Cennox is seeking a Construction Site Foreman to oversee commercial renovation projects in the Houston area. You will manage onsite activities, coordinate with clients and subcontractors, and ensure safety and quality on a daily basis.

Role requires leadership, strong communication, and the ability to read blueprints. Night and weekend work is required; MS Office proficiency is needed to organize project data and schedules.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of Construction Management experience.
• 2+ years in a leadership or supervisory role.
• Clean DMV/Background Check (back to 18 years old).
• No DUI in past 7 years.
• New Hire drug screen required.
• Comfortable reading and understanding blueprints/drawings.
• Reliable transportation and flexible work hours.
• All work is completed after hours at night and on weekends.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Organizational and multi-tasking skills.
• Experience with interior finishes.

Responsibilities

• Conduct site surveys with Superintendents and Project Managers.
• Ensure materials orders, equipment delivery, and inspections support project schedule.
• Responsible for site safety and compliance with company safety policies.
• Understand, review, and manage project plans, specifications, and manufacturer data.
• Review construction documents for completeness and constructability.
• Manage the overall project and 3-week look-ahead schedules.
• Generate RFIs to ensure document completeness and resolve discrepancies.
• Work with the project team to follow the company’s quality control program.
• Conduct preconstruction planning meetings.
• Conduct on-site meetings with subcontractors to clarify scope and quality expectations.
• Manage subcontractors on-site.
• Keep the job site organized and compliant with waste/environment policies.
• Track site progress and report manhours via mobile app.

Job description

Cennox is looking for a Construction Site Foreman to work in the Houston Texas area. Primary business is commercial construction and renovation services for financial institutions.

Position Summary:

Site Foreman responsibilities include onsite management of commercial renovation projects. The ideal candidate must have construction experience, ability to work without direct supervision, excellent oral and written communication skills, and be able to organize their work using MS office tools. Ultimately, a successful Foreman should ensure the efficient and smooth day-to-day communication with Clients, Sub-Contractors, and internal staff. This position requires onsite night and weekend work.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Conduct site surveys to determine initial project plan with Superintendents and Project Managers


• Ensure all required materials orders, equipment delivery, and inspections occur to support the project schedule


• Responsible for site safety. Ensure the overall job site is safe for workers and visitors as well as manage compliance with established company safety policies.


• Understand, review, and manage project plans, specifications, and manufacturer's data and execute project based upon said documentation


• Review construction documents for completeness and constructability.


• Manage the overall project and 3-week look ahead schedules, including working in master schedules and updating it on a weekly basis


• Generate RFI's (Requests for Information) as required to ensure completeness of the project documents and identifying and clarifying any discrepancies


• Work with the project team to follow the company’s quality control program for the project


• Conduct preconstruction planning meetings


• Conduct on-site project meetings with subcontractors and construction trades lead personnel to clearly identify scope of work and quality expectations.


• Manage subcontractors for all work performed on-site


• Set an example in keeping the job site organized and clean, including meeting standards for waste disposal and environmental protection


• Track site progress, capture progress photos and report subcontractor onsite manhours utilizing an app on your phone

Job Requirements:

• Construction Management experience (2 years minimum)


• 2+ years of proven leadership or supervisory role.


• Clean DMV/Background Check back to 18 years old.
