GSS Clean Up & Restoration Inc is seeking a skilled Mitigation Technician to join our team in Glendora, CA. You will help homeowners and businesses recover from water, fire, and mold damage in a fast-paced, hands-on environment, contributing to compassionate service in times of need.

Responsibilities include setting up drying equipment, performing moisture readings, and documenting damage while following IICRC standards.

Qualifications

• Strong customer-facing communication skills and a customer-first attitude.
• Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and emergency on-call shifts.
• Prior experience in water damage mitigation/restoration preferred.

• Perform water, fire, and mold mitigation and remediation on residential and commercial properties.
• Set up and monitor drying equipment including air movers and dehumidifiers.
• Conduct moisture readings and document damage using industry-standard tools and software.
• Perform controlled demolition of damaged materials.
• Communicate professionally with property owners and insurance adjusters throughout the restoration process.
• Follow IICRC standards and safety protocols on every job site.
• Respond to emergency service calls, including after-hours and weekend assignments as needed.

• Conduct moisture readings and document damage using industry-standard tools and software
• Perform controlled demolition including removal of damaged drywall, flooring, and insulation
• Communicate professionally with property owners and insurance adjusters throughout the restoration process
• Follow IICRC standards and safety protocols on every job site
• Respond to emergency service calls, including after‑hours and weekend assignments as needed

Requirements:

• Prior experience in water damage mitigation, restoration, or a related field preferred
• Knowledge of IICRC guidelines and restoration industry best practices
• Ability to operate drying equipment, moisture meters, and thermal imaging cameras
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
• Strong physical stamina — ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in confined or challenging environments
• Excellent communication skills and a customer‑first attitude
• Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and emergency on‑call shifts
