Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking an on-site Safety Supervisor for construction projects in Arkansas. You will oversee safety administration, conduct daily equipment inspections, and lead field safety orientations to prevent accidents and injuries.

Responsibilities include reporting to HSE leadership, coordinating safety efforts, and investigating incidents to identify root causes and corrective actions. This role requires OSHA 30, First Aid/CPR/AED, and STSC preferred, with travel up to 5%.

Qualifications

• 5 years of construction experience.
• 1 year of experience as on-site safety person.
• OSHA 30hr card for construction industry.
• First Aid, CPR, AED training completed.
• STSC training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the overall supervision and administration of project safety.
• Coordinate project safety efforts to prevent accidents and injuries.
• Communicate project safety conditions to the HSE Manager, HSE Director, and various levels of project supervision.
• Participate in developing and conducting field safety orientation training.
• Conduct daily inspections of machinery, equipment, and working conditions for regulatory compliance and safe work practices.
• Observe workers' use of prescribed safety equipment.
• Inspect areas for fire-prevention equipment, first-aid supplies, and other safety devices.
• Test working areas for hazard exposures using testing equipment.
• Prepare daily reports of findings and recommendations for corrective action.
• Investigate accidents to establish root causes and recommend preventive safety measures.
• Document accidents, safety violations, unsafe conditions, and unsafe behavior.
• Conduct weekly safety meetings and instruct workers on safety practices and requirements.
