Qualifikationen

• Five years of civil engineering experience in the appropriate specialty; and an Engineer-in-Training certificate issued by or acceptable to the Pennsylvania State Registration Board for Professional Engineers, Land Surveyors and Geologists; and an associate’s degree in civil engineering technology or a closely related engineering discipline; or
• Two years of professional civil engineering experience in the appropriate specialty, and a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a closely related engineering discipline.

This position oversees inspection and engineering activities on multi lane highway and bridge construction projects to ensure work meets all plans and specifications. As a Construction Field IIC, you will perform the following duties:

• Technical Leadership: Provide engineering analysis and guidance to resolve complex field issues
• Project Oversight: Manage multiple construction projects from start to finish using sound engineering practices
• Plan Interpretation: Review and interpret designs to address discrepancies and ensure intended results
• Coordination Efforts: Work with municipalities, utilities, businesses, and other partners to address project needs
• Documentation Management: Prepare reports, estimates, and work orders while tracking material certifications
• Staff Supervision: Direct, evaluate, and support the work of subordinate employees

Work Schedule and Additional Information

• Full-time employment
• Work hours are 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. This is a vendor controlled position, overtime and travel may be required as needed.
• Telework:You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, up to 50% after successful completion of the probationary period. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Allentown. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time. Additional details may be provided during the interview.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements

• Six years of civil engineering experience in the appropriate specialty; and an Engineer-in-Training certificate issued by or acceptable to the Pennsylvania State Registration Board for Professional Engineers, Land Surveyors and Geologists; or
• Five years of civil engineering experience in the appropriate specialty; and an Engineer-in-Training certificate issued by or acceptable to the Pennsylvania State Registration Board for Professional Engineers, Land Surveyors and Geologists; and an associate’s degree in civil engineering technology or a closely related engineering discipline; or
• Two years of professional civil engineering experience in the appropriate specialty, and a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a closely related engineering discipline.

Special Requirements

• This position requires possession of a valid driver’s license.

Other Requirements

• PA residency requirement is currently waived for this title.
• You must be able to perform essential job functions.
