Job summary

Kiewit Industrial District is seeking a Field/Office Engineer for an on-site role in Point Pleasant, WV. The position offers significant travel over 2–3 years and relocation/per diem options to support project assignments across industrial facilities.

You will interpret drawings, prepare work plans, perform takeoffs, and assist with bid preparation as part of a dynamic field operations team within a multi-billion-dollar construction company.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or related field.
• Minimum of 3+ years of construction experience, preferably in industrial or large-scale projects.
• Ability to travel and relocate as needed.

Responsibilities

• Field Operations: interpret drawings and specifications for field crews and craft, prepare work plans and work packages, order and schedule material deliveries.
• Office Engineering: perform takeoffs from drawings, generate change orders reviewed by the Project Manager, provide field support and supervise subcontractor operations.
• Estimating: review and analyze project data, complete plans and specification reviews, assist with bid preparation.

Location

• This project is based in Point Pleasant WV.
• Travel and site presence required for project duration (2-3 years)

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field; Associate's degree in Construction Management also considered
• Minimum of 3+ years of construction experience, preferably in industrial or large‑scale project environments
• Ability to travel and relocate as needed
• Ability to freely access all points of a construction site in a wide-ranging climates and environments
• Highly motivated, with a demonstrated passion for excellence and taking initiative
• Strong work ethic, willing to do what it takes to get the job done right the first time
• Demonstrated commitment to ethics and integrity
• Passion for safety, with the ability to help us ensure that nobody gets hurt

Base Compensation: $95,000/yr - $105,000/yr

(Actual compensation is subject to variation due to such factors as education, experience, skillset, and/or location)
