Job summary

Kiewit is seeking a Field/Office Engineer to join the Industrial District, supporting field and office operations on a major project. You will interpret drawings, prepare work plans, and coordinate material deliveries while assisting in bids and change orders.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in a construction-related field and 3+ years of experience, with travel and relocation as needed for a 2–3 year project in WV/PA region.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in construction-related field or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 3+ years of construction experience, industrial/large projects preferred.
• Ability to travel and relocate as needed.

Responsibilities

• Field Operations: interpret drawings and specs for field crews, plan work packages, schedule material deliveries.
• Office Engineering: perform takeoffs, generate change orders, support project manager, supervise subcontractors.
• Estimating: review project data, assist with bid preparations and plan/spec reviews.

Location

• This project is based in Point Pleasant WV.
• Travel and site presence required for project duration (2-3 years)

Responsibilities

• Field Operations: Interpret drawings and specifications for field crews and craft, prepare work plans and work packages, order and schedule material deliveries
• Office Engineering: Perform takeoffs from drawings, generating change orders reviewed by the Project Manager, provide field support and supervise subcontractor operations
• Estimating: Review and analyze data relative to the project, complete plans and specification reviews for projects, assist with the preparation of a bid

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field; Associate's degree in Construction Management also considered
• Minimum of 3+ years of construction experience, preferably in industrial or large-scale project environments
• Ability to travel and relocate as needed
• Ability to freely access all points of a construction site in a wide-ranging climates and environments
• Highly motivated, with a demonstrated passion for excellence and taking initiative
• Strong work ethic, willing to do what it takes to get the job done right the first time
• Demonstrated commitment to ethics and integrity
• Passion for safety, with the ability to help us ensure that nobody gets hurt
• Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
• Team player with the ability to work independently to meet deadlines, goals, and objectives

Base Compensation

Base Compensation: $95,000/yr - $105,000/yr (Actual compensation is subject to variation due to such factors as education, experience, skillset, and/or location)
