AtkinsRéalis is seeking an entry-level Construction Field Engineer to join the Florida Construction Management team in Tampa, FL. You will participate in investigations, planning, soil and material testing, and observation of construction activities to ensure compliance with contract plans and specs.

This role emphasizes basic calculations, data collection, and reporting, with mentorship and structured training.

• Must be able to perform basic mathematical calculations and understand contract plans and specifications.
• Must be able to follow directions, take legible notes, and be physically fit to do manual labor and lift up to 60 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Performs soil density, concrete, asphalt testing and records results.
• Verifies rebar placement, concrete mix, pile driving counts, drainage structure placement, and subgrade construction.

### **Job Description**## OverviewAtkinsRéalis is seeking a Construction Field Engineer to join our Construction Management Florida Team. This is an **entry-level** position and is based out of Tampa, FL.## Your Role* Participates in conducting engineering investigations and planning work by completing well-defined tasks. These tasks may include collection and analysis of data using established procedures, performance of routine calculations, and participation in evaluating the feasibility of alternate solutions.* Observes construction activities, and determines whether construction work is being performed in substantial compliance with contract plans and specifications and reports observed deficiencies to senior field staff.* Samples and Tests soil density, concrete, asphalt and other construction materials.* Verifies form construction rebar placement, concrete mixture, pile driving blow counts, drainage structure placement, subgrade and base construction.* Writes diary inspection reports, weather reports, and documents test results and observations.* Assists in all types of record keeping and independently performs basic calculations to measure, track and report field measurements of installed quantities, as needed.* Performs such other duties as the supervisor may from time to time deem necessary.## About You* EXPERIENCE: Minimal experience is required of incumbents with a Bachelor's Degree in a branch of Engineering directly related to hiring discipline; no experience required with a Master's degree.* EDUCATION: Completion of Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering degree from an ABET accredited college/university.* SPECIAL SKILLS: Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations and to understand contract plans and specifications.
