Job summary

DEW Construction is seeking an experienced Estimator to plan, coordinate, and estimate projects under the guidance of the Senior Estimator. You will review specs, perform takeoffs, and work with subs and vendors to deliver competitive bids.

The role emphasizes site observation, data maintenance, and ongoing skill development in estimating software and methods. Located in New Hampshire, you’ll join a collaborative team and contribute to project profitability.

Qualifications

• 4-year engineering degree or equivalent combinations of training/experience.
• 1-4 years estimating experience (4+ years in similar construction) and CPM scheduling basics.
• Experience with estimating software (Timberline, OST).
• Strong knowledge of procedures, estimating techniques, and cost control.
• Excellent math and computer skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication.

Responsibilities

• Review specs and drawings to determine scope and estimate content.
• Investigate site conditions and bid implications.
• Prepare estimates with complete takeoffs and itemized prices.
• Review subcontractor quotes and coordinate during bidding.
• Maintain data files and price histories as back-up for estimates.
• Support Senior Estimator and Director of Estimating.
