DBI Construction Consultants is seeking a Construction Cost Estimator to join our field and office teams in Indianapolis. You will analyze costs, timelines and risks while visiting sites to collect real-world data, and prepare reports to help clients move forward with confidence.

The role offers exposure to industry software such as Xactimate and Bluebeam Revu, and requires a degree in civil/ME/structural engineering or construction management, plus strong analytical and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil / mechanical / structural engineering, construction management, or related field.
• Strong analytical, communication and technical reading skills.
• Advanced Excel skills; Xactimate/scheduling software experience preferred.
• Willingness to travel ~30% and work in varied field conditions.
• Past construction or risk management internship preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with site visits to collect measurements, photos, and project details.
• Support the analysis of labor, materials, and timelines for project estimates.
• Help track costs and flag differences between projected and actual figures.
• Learn to prepare professional reports and data entries in estimating tools.
• Gain exposure to industry software like Xactimate, Bluebeam Revu, and project scheduling tools.
