AppleOne Employment Services is seeking a detail-oriented Estimator to join a growing team in Seattle. You will prepare cost estimates for materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractors, analyze specifications, and collaborate with internal teams to ensure competitive bids.

The role emphasizes accurate costing, risk analysis, and timely bid submissions across various projects. A strong foundation in estimating and Excel is required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of estimating experience in construction, manufacturing, industrial, or related industries.
• Strong understanding of project costing and bid preparation.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical specifications.
• Excellent analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Review project plans, specifications, and bid documents.
• Prepare accurate material, labor, equipment, and subcontractor cost estimates.
• Solicit and evaluate vendor and subcontractor pricing.
• Analyze project risks and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Prepare complete bid proposals and supporting documentation.
• Collaborate with project managers, sales teams, and operations throughout the bidding process.
• Maintain estimating databases, pricing information, and historical project costs.
• Participate in pre-bid meetings and site visits as needed.
• Ensure estimates are completed accurately and submitted within deadlines.
• Assist with project handoffs after contract award.
